This week I published two non-original posts , “The alphabet of my writing” and “5 writing tips from William Forrester”. Why aren't they original? Because the first one was inspired by a meme, while the second one was inspired by a movie I saw. These are two posts that depend on or are inspired by, suggested by other content . Today's post is not original either, because it takes up and develops the concepts present in two of my posts, in a comment and in the dictionary definition. Tomorrow there will also be a non-original post, this week went like this. Last week I published only one original content out of four: the one on the blog's editorial calendar (but can we really call it 100% original?). Ditto the previous week: the one about writing a saga.
Maybe it's an exaggeration to call all those posts unoriginal? If I had given those ideas to other bloggers, could they have created content with them? Where does the originality of content begin and end? The Special Data original content does not resemble other content This means that almost all of today's web – especially the blogosphere – has no original content. There is a reshuffle of ideas and concepts that surpasses the reshuffles of our governments. There is a copying of each other that borders on annoyance (one of my articles on volcanoes in Italy has been copied after copied, even from the website of a municipality). My post on the taboos of my writing resembles Chiara's entitled Vade retro – The taboos of my writing . Of course, I anticipated it at the beginning of the post, just as I always write when one of my articles is part of a meme or is a reflection born from someone else's post.
It is a unique content, it is certainly not a copy, but it is similar, we cannot deny it, therefore not original. Original content is new content Original, according to the dictionary, is what has its own novelty. Here the matter becomes more complex and it is more difficult to find content that has its own novelty. I searched my archive, in the Blogging and Writing categories, and I think that in the last few weeks only the post on the creative process has something new. What is meant in this case? That we need to be able to create something new . Search for the unsaid, the unread elsewhere. Searching for something that only we know, developing our own idea, talking about our own theory that revolutionizes pre-existing concepts. How much is new on the web today? For a long time now I haven't learned anything, neither in Italian blogs nor in foreign ones. There were the gurus of the web, in the fields of blogging, marketing, social media, content marketing, gurus that I followed and who now publish fried and refried material.
